Don'ts
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Share sexually explicit or adult content
- Use hate speech based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, or nationality
- Record or screenshot conversations without consent
- Spam, advertise, or promote external websites/services
- Impersonate others or misrepresent yourself
- Share illegal content or engage in illegal activities
- Share personal contact information (yours or others')
- Use bots, scripts, or automated systems
Consequences of Violations
Violating these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations receive a warning.
- Temporary Ban: Repeated or serious violations result in temporary suspension from the platform.
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations or multiple bans lead to permanent removal from Melbourne Talk.
Our moderation team reviews reports manually and takes action at their discretion. We aim to be fair but prioritize community safety.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter someone breaking these guidelines, please report them immediately. Use the built-in reporting feature or contact us via our Contact page. Provide as much detail as possible including username (if available), date/time, and description of the violation.
Appeals
If you believe your account was banned unfairly, you may appeal by contacting us through the Contact page. Include your username (if applicable) and a clear explanation of why you believe the ban was mistaken. We review appeals on a case-by-case basis.
